Free Adult and Family Cycle Training

Adult Bike TrainingCheshire West and Chester Council are offering free adult cycle training as part of an effort to encourage more local people to take up cycling as a healthy form of exercise and as an inexpensive and convenient mode of travel.

The training is tailored at a level suited to your needs, based on the National Cycle Training Standards.  Choose from Basic (complete beginner), Urban (quiet local roads) or Advanced (complex junctions and busy roads).

Family Cycle Skills Training is also available through the new Bikeability Family free training package to help people cycle together. The training will enable families to plan enjoyable group rides, switch from driving to cycling the school run, help other family members to develop their cycling skills and grow their confidence. For this, there needs to be at least one child and one adult on each session.

    Is Training for Cheshire west and Chester only?

    • It is understood that the courses are for Cheshire West and Chester residents as the training is being funded by CWAC.
