Chester Cycling Campaign takes data privacy and security very seriously. The following information applies to those who are or have been members of the Campaign.
What details we hold
We hold the following information about our members:
- Name
- Address
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Membership category
- Start date and end date of membership
- Preferred contact method
- Data processing permission agreement
Optionally we may also hold the following information if you have chosen to share it with us:
- Employer
- Job title
- Contacts and skills
Where your data is stored
Our membership information is stored electronically in a password protected cloud database to which only certain Campaign role holders members have access if it is relevant to their role within the organisation. This information is periodically backed up to a hard drive where it is stored in an encrypted zip file format.
What we do with it
We keep information about you in order to contact you to tell you about our latest news, projects and opportunities. We also use this information to communicate with you about membership matters, including renewal of membership notifications. Your information is never shared with third parties or used for any other purposes than those stated in this notice.
Legal basis under which we store information about you
We store and use this information in connection with your membership of the Chester Cycling Campaign.
Unsubscribing from newsletter communications and cancellation of membership
You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting our membership secretary: membership@chestercyclecity.org. You may unsubscribe from newsletter communication by clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ link which appears at the bottom of each email newsletter.

If you would like to know what information we store about you, you can make a ‘Subject Access Request’ by contacting our membership secretary by email using this email address: membership@chestercyclecity.org.
